Ramses Graus graduated as Theatremaker in 1998 at the School for Arts in Utrecht. After graduation he worked as an actor and director at several theatre companies in more than 70 plays varying from Shakespeare to Comedy. In 2001 he won the Leids Cabaret Festival as half of duo 'RUL'.
Since 2009 Ramses is part of the artistic team of youth and music theatre company Het Filiaal together with director Monique Corvers and composer Gábor Tarján. In their work they bring together professional actors, musicians and visual artists. The loving precision and sense of humour with which text, music, acting and visuals are integrated, has come to be the trademark of Het Filiaal. Het Filiaal is the largest youth and music theatre company in the Netherlands' central region, and is based in the Dutch city of Utrecht. Het Filiaal productions are for people of all ages. They are performed in cities all over the Netherlands, and have also enjoyed success abroad. For young and old, for families and schools, at home and abroad. Het Filiaal’s work varies from spectacular productions for audiences of a thousand people, to well-considered art projects on a much smaller scale, designed to give children an intensive introduction to every facet of theatre. Half of Het Filiaal’s audience comes from schools and half is made up of the public at large.
In 2010 his own Filiaal performance "Miss Ophelia" premiered. Together with actress Mirthe Klieverik he toured n the Netherlands, Dublin, Edinburgh, Malta, New York, Londen, Belfast, Melbourne en Sydney. In 2011 they won the "Silver Cricket", the Dutch prize for youth theatre.
In 2016 Ramses won the Golden Cricket for his role in The Great Illusionist, also Filiaal Production.

The love for puppetry, shadow- and object theatre which he uses in his plays also resulted in workshops and masterclasses for amateurs and professionals.
